It fucking amazes me how blind and stupid these guys are. “Wolves killed my hounds? Time to snowmobile, shoot, and trap, despite this not working.” You run your hounds, more specifically scenthounds, a domesticated, specialized version of a wolf in an area where there are non-domesticated wolves, then you get surprised when a wolf kills your dog? Thats because of all the baying and howling the dogs do on the trail, then on the tree, just all the goddamn time. Worst of all, many of the Scenthound breeds are so easy to kill as they are bred to stand back and let daddy human do the job so when a wolf kills them they literally have nobody to help them so they just sit there and die. Even the largest and most toughest Scenthound, the Plotthound, has been killed by wolves, so changing the size won’t help. The hate stems to wild wolves a lot but it also stems to literally anything that wants to kill a Scenthound. Livestock guardian dogs and pet dogs like German Shepherds have kicked Scenthound’s ass and the houndsmen are like “KILL THEM ALL! AGHHHHH!” because their stupid fucking hounds got killed.
